Kevin Corke Chair IEB

Kevin Corke joined the IEB in September 2020 and took on the role of Chair. He has been a governor since 2007 and became a National Leader of Governance in 2014, so brings a wealth of experience. Kevin has sat on a number of School governing bodies across the city and is currently Chair of Eccelsall Primary School Governing Body and Vice Chair of Coit & Ecclesfield Primary School Federation. Kevin has worked at the University of Sheffield for over 20 years and his current role cover Finance, HR, H&S, capital developments, as well as supporting the research strategy for the Faculty he work in. |
Michael Sanderson |
Michael Sanderson is a National Leader of Governance with wide experience as a governor of of special schools, as well as primary and secondary schools. He has been a member of the IEB since its inception, and is a former local government deputy chief officer.

Andy Wynne
|
Andy is currently Operations Director for Learn Sheffield. He has worked in education for most of his career, starting out as a lecturer in Further & Adult Education, before moving into the schools sector in 2001, working as A head of City Learning Centre and then leading the ICT strand of the Building Schools for the Future programme in Sheffield from 2007-2017.
His main areas of interest have included ICT and learning technologies, school leadership and governance.

Karen Smith
|
Karen’s background is in analysis and finance, having spent the majority of her career in the Civil Service. She is currently Chief Financial Officer for a local Multi Academy Trust. Karen has a passion for education, and has spent a number of years working in the Department for Education and supporting schools as a parent governor. |
Anne Quaile |
Anne joined the IEB in November 2021. Her background is in education and she started her career as an English teacher. She retired recently as CEO of a multi Academy Trust. |
